The college is seeking to appoint a permanent, full-time Deputy Head of Faculty – Construction Trades & Heritage to support the strategic leadership and operational management of the faculty. The successful Deputy Head of Faculty will work closely with the Head of Faculty to drive curriculum development, quality assurance, staff performance and employer engagement, while teaching up to 7.5 hours per week and ensuring students, apprentices and adult learners receive an outstanding learning experience.
The successful Deputy Head of Faculty will have:
- A recognised teaching qualification and relevant vocational or professional qualifications within Construction or a related discipline
- Experience leading curriculum teams within Further Education or a similar education and training environment
- Proven experience of managing quality assurance, curriculum development and staff performance
- Strong knowledge of apprenticeship delivery, employer engagement and industry partnerships
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, student-focused approach with the ability to motivate and inspire both staff and learners
