TeacherActive is proud to be working with a warm and welcoming school in Monmouth that is looking to appoint a dedicated SRB Teaching Assistant. The school has a supportive and inclusive ethos where staff work closely together to ensure every pupil is given the opportunity to thrive in a positive learning environment.
The school is looking to recruit a full-time SRB Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis. The successful SRB Teaching Assistant will support pupils with ASD and complex needs, working collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver engaging learning experiences while promoting independence, confidence and positive behaviour. The appointed person will need to be comfortable with personal care i.e. changing nappies.
The successful SRB Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with ASD and complex needs
- Previous experience working within a specialist resource base or SEND setting
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a wider staff team
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional learning needs
