TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in Wiltshire in their search for a SEND Teacher. The setting supports children and young people aged 4-16 with complex social, emotional and mental health needs, alongside medical needs, providing a nurturing environment where every learner is encouraged to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time permanent SEND Teacher from September. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils with SEMH needs and additional barriers to learning, promoting positive outcomes and creating a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Experience working as a SEND Teacher or supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Strong knowledge of strategies to support children with social, emotional and mental health difficulties
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
