- The school is looking to appoint a dedicated
- SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role starting in September. The successful
SEND Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with ADHD and challenging behaviour.
You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement behaviour strategies, promote engagement in learning, and help pupils develop both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for KS2 pupils with ADHD and challenging behaviour.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement behaviour strategies and promote student engagement.
- Support pupils to develop academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
Requirements
- Experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or supporting children with SEND.
- A good understanding of ADHD and behaviour management strategies.
- Experience supporting pupils within KS2.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A calm, positive, and flexible approach to supporting children's learning.
