A well-known mainstream secondary school with a strong sense of community in the Mansfield area is looking to recruit a Biology teacher starting in February 2026. The successful applicant will work across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE exam preparation. The role focuses on helping students achieve excellent results in Biology while following and implementing the schemes of learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE preparation.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that support student progress and engagement.
  • Follow and implement the school’s schemes of learning and assessment procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A graduate with qualified teacher status.
  • Outstanding teacher in Science/Biology with a strong teaching record.
  • Relevant qualifications (formal and/or through appropriate experience) to meet the appointment’s requirements.
  • Excellent in-depth knowledge of the Science/Biology curriculum and its place within the wider curriculum; understanding of the importance of a rigorous reading strategy to support student confidence and reading fluency.
