TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist Pupil Referral Unit in Central Manchester, who are looking to appoint an SEMH Teacher. The provision offers a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young people, placing a strong emphasis on positive relationships, emotional wellbeing and helping every student achieve their full potential.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teacher on a long‑term, full‑time basis from September. The successful SEMH Teacher will work with students across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons while supporting young people with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, promoting both academic progress and personal development.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching young people within a UK educational setting
- A genuine passion for supporting students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
- Excellent behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
