TeacherActive is working closely with a number of welcoming schools in Milton Keynes who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team full time, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and behaviour support
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Encouraging students’ academic, emotional, and social development
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based or transferable experience considered)
- Is patient, caring, and resilient
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
