We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across a range of school settings. This is a rewarding role for individuals who are passionate about inclusion and supporting children to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
  • Support pupils with academic tasks, social interaction, and emotional regulation
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support plans
  • Assist with behaviour management using positive strategies
  • Support personal care where required
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times

Requirements

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or similar settings)
  • Patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Relevant qualifications (CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting challenging behaviour or complex needs
