TeacherActive are recruiting for experienced SEN TAs to work within specialist SEND settings across Southwark .
We work with schools supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), communication needs, sensory needs and physical disabilities .
As an SEN TA , you may be required to provide 1:1 and small-group support, help pupils access learning, promote communication and independence, and work closely with teachers and other professionals to meet individual needs.
The successful SEN TA will have:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence supporting pupils with complex needs
- A good understanding of safeguarding
- Personal care experience would be beneficial
