West Midlands/ temporary / £113.02 - 117.48 per day dependent on experience. TeacherActive is working in partnership with a secondary school in the Cannock area to recruit an experienced pastoral support professional to join their student support team.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, promoting positive behaviour, and helping students overcome barriers to learning. You will play a key role in safeguarding, attendance, behaviour support and day-to-day pastoral care, working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and external agencies.
The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience working in a pastoral, inclusion or student support role within a secondary school or similar setting
- Be confident supporting students with behavioural, emotional and social needs
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
- Be calm, resilient and able to manage challenging situations professionally
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
