Location: Chelmsford, Essex

Hours: Full time | Between 8:00am – 6:00pm

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming early years setting based in Chelmsford. This is a full-time role, with working hours between 8:00am and 6:00pm, offering stability and the opportunity to develop your career within early years education.

This position is ideal for a qualified Nursery Practitioner who is passionate about supporting young children’s learning and development in line with the EYFS framework.

Qualifications

To be considered for this Nursery Practitioner position, you must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification, such as:

  • CACHE Level 2/3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development

You will also need:

  • A good understanding of the EYFS framework
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
  • A caring, motivated, and proactive approach
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities

As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children aged 0–5 with their learning, play, and development
  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
  • Observing, assessing, and recording children’s progress
  • Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Adhering to safeguarding, health, and safety policies
