Teacher Active is proud to be working in partnership with schools and alternative provisions across North London, who are seeking committed Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to support pupils across EYFS, Primary, Secondary, and Alternative Provision settings.
The Role: As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access education, feel safe within their learning environment, and develop confidence and independence. You may be supporting pupils:
- On a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or within the whole class
- Across a range of educational settings, including mainstream, specialist, and alternative provisions
- With additional needs such as ASD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH, EBD, and ADD/ADHD
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working within SEND settings, inclusive classrooms, or specialist provisions
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A calm, caring, and nurturing approach
- The ability to work flexibly and respond positively to individual needs
- Open to tutoring sessions
Desirable:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Previous experience tutoring/tuition background
Key Skills & Qualities:
- Excellent behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive mindset, using initiative and contributing ideas
