This fantastic Newham-based primary school in Poplar is looking for a KS1 Teacher who is patient, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting children at a crucial stage of their learning. You will play a key role in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons that support pupils’ development in early literacy, numeracy, and social skills, while fostering confidence and a love of learning.

You will work closely with teaching assistants, phase leaders, and the wider school team to deliver consistent routines, structure, and high-quality teaching throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging KS1 lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Creating a positive, nurturing, and structured classroom environment
  • Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and parents where appropriate
