Are you an experienced History Teacher looking to join a successful and collaborative Humanities Department? TeacherActive are proud to be working with this high achieving 11-18 secondary school in West London; they are seeking a knowledgeable and confident History Teacher from September. The school are looking for an outstanding teacher with a proven record of results across GCSE and A-level History, as well as someone who effectively engages students at KS3.

The successful candidate will be a highly effective classroom practitioner who will ensure their lesson planning and delivery are such that students experience history in a way that is engaging, intellectually challenging, and supports critical thinking development. The school promotes a culture of learning for both staff and students, offering coaching, CPD, and pathways for progression.

To be considered for this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and confident classroom presence
  • Be a qualified History Teacher who holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a degree
  • Foster positive relationships with your students, setting and maintaining high expectations of academic progress and behaviour
  • Demonstrate high standards of professionalism
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, verbally and in writing
