We are currently recruiting a passionate and committed EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive 2-3 form entry primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years specialist who is eager to support children at the very beginning of their learning journey. The school has a warm, community-focused ethos and places a strong emphasis on creating a nurturing, engaging and language-rich environment where every child feels safe, confident and ready to learn.
As a 2-3 form entry school, staff benefit from working closely with experienced year group partners, supportive phase leaders and a collaborative wider team. The school is well-resourced, with bright classrooms, engaging indoor and outdoor learning areas, and a strong focus on child-led learning, early communication, phonics, personal development and positive relationships.
The successful EYFS Teacher will be joining a supportive Early Years team and will play a key role in planning and delivering creative, purposeful learning experiences that meet the needs of all pupils.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework
- Create a warm, safe and stimulating classroom environment where children can explore, learn and develop confidence
- Support children’s early communication, language, phonics, social skills and independence
- Use observations and assessments to track progress and plan meaningful next steps
- Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including children with SEND and EAL
- Work closely with nursery nurses, teaching assistants, phase leaders and senior leadership
- Build positive relationships with parents and carers to support children’s learning and wellbeing
- Promote positive behaviour, routines and emotional development
- Uphold safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within EYFS in a UK primary school or early years setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early child development
- Confident understanding of phonics, early literacy and early maths
- A nurturing, patient and creative approach to teaching
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a year group and phase team
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
