Are you an experienced Deputy Head Teacher with a passion for supporting students with complex needs? Do you have strong leadership skills and experience working with PMLD and SLD learners? Are you looking for a full-time Deputy Head Teacher role with the opportunity to become permanent?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school in Brierley Hill supporting children and young people aged 4–19 with PMLD, SLD and non‑verbal communication needs. The school provides a highly supportive and nurturing environment, with a strong focus on individualised learning, communication development and life skills.

The school is looking to take on a full-time Deputy Head Teacher on a long‑term basis, with the potential to lead to a permanent position for the right Deputy Head Teacher. The successful Deputy Head Teacher will support the Head Teacher in leading the school, overseeing teaching and learning, and ensuring high‑quality provision for pupils with complex needs including PMLD, SLD and non‑verbal learners.

Qualifications and Experience
  • QTS and senior leadership experience within a school setting
  • Experience working with students with PMLD, SLD and non‑verbal needs
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Experience supporting staff development and improving teaching standards
