Whether you are a Behaviour Mentor looking for day-to-day placements, long-term stability or a permanent role, our experienced team works closely with a variety of school settings. We provide ongoing support 24/7, along with our quick and easy online onboarding process.
The successful Behaviour Mentor will have:
- Experience supporting pupils in a primary school environment, particularly those with behavioural, social, emotional, or mental health needs (SEMH).
- The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with children who may display challenging behaviour, low engagement, or difficulties regulating their emotions.
- A calm, consistent, and confident approach, with the ability to use de-escalation strategies and restorative practices.
- Experience working with children with a range of needs such as trauma, attachment difficulties, ASD, ADHD, or high-level behavioural presentations.
- The capacity to work 1:1 and in small groups to support behaviour targets, emotional literacy, confidence, and positive decision-making.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, SENCOs, and external agencies.
