The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
  • Support students with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and challenging behaviour.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Promote emotional regulation, confidence, and positive behaviour strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
  • Availability to work full time, Monday to Friday.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through TeacherActive).
