TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist provision in the Speke area, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The setting provides a structured and supportive learning environment, focused on helping young people build confidence, develop positive relationships and achieve their full potential both academically and personally.
The school is looking to appoint a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant from September on a long-term basis. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will be supporting students across Key Stage 4 / KS4, working closely with teaching staff to manage behaviour, encourage engagement and provide tailored support to students with additional emotional and behavioural needs.
The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Experience supporting students within a secondary school or alternative provision setting
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
