Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide high-quality support, helping pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom to promote engagement and positive behaviour.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to reviews and support plans.
- Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
- Experience supporting children with SEND, including SEMH needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their best.
