The college offers excellent facilities and practical learning opportunities, maintaining strong links with industry to prepare learners for successful careers within the land based sector.
The college is looking to appoint a Lecturer in Land Based Engineering for an Immediate Start on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff. The successful Lecturer in Land Based Engineering will teach and support learners across a range of land based engineering programmes, delivering engaging lessons, assessing learner progress and helping students develop the practical skills and knowledge required for employment within the industry.
The successful Lecturer in Land Based Engineering will have:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline such as forestry, horticulture or agriculture
- GCSE Grade A to C (or equivalent) in Maths and English, or the willingness to achieve these qualifications
- A recognised teaching qualification or the willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching at the relevant level and subject is desirable
- Strong administrative, organisational and IT skills with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- A motivated, adaptable and enthusiastic approach with the ability to inspire learners and achieve targets
