Salary: £180 - £220 per day
Are you a qualified SEND Teacher with QTS and experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs? Do you have the resilience and patience to engage primary and secondary-aged students who may face barriers to learning? Are you confident adapting your teaching approach to meet the individual needs of pupils within a specialist setting?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a special school in the Shenstone/Lichfield area supporting primary and secondary-aged students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH difficulties. The school provides a structured and supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, resilience and engagement with education.
The school is looking to appoint a SEND Teacher on a long-term basis with an immediate start. The successful SEND Teacher will plan and deliver engaging lessons across primary and secondary age groups, adapt teaching to meet individual needs and use strong classroom and behaviour management to support pupils with SEMH difficulties.
The successful SEND Teacher will have:
- QTS
- Experience teaching primary and/or secondary-aged pupils
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to differentiate and adapt lessons to individual needs
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
