TeacherActive is currently recruiting a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work within a secondary school in the beautiful coastal town of Aberystwyth. The Role
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
- Provide targeted support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs
- Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment
- Promote pupil confidence, independence, and wellbeing
- Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and the wider school team
Requirements
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Passion for supporting children's learning and development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
