TeacherActive are proud to be working with multiple mainstream secondary schools in Doncaster who are always on the lookout for dedicated Lesson Supervisors to work on a part time or full time basis. I am looking for Lesson Supervisors who are confident Covering and managing a classroom, delivering work set by the Teacher and ensuring pupils are engaged – managing any potential challenging behaviours that may arise effectively and according to the School policies.
Our amazing Lesson Supervisor will be someone who:
Is highly organised
Has brilliant attention to detail
Has excellent communication skills

Can work well as part of a team
The responsibilities of a Lesson Supervisor include but are not limited to:
Covering pre-planned lessons across a multitude of subjects
Managing the classroom and supervising pupils
Helping pupils carry out pre-arranged tasks and exercises set out by the teacher
Responding to pupil’s questions and helping with their set work
Collecting all completed work at the end of the class to be passed on to the teacher
Reporting back to the teacher or staff about the behaviour of the class and work carried out according to the school’s procedure and processes
Dealing with any immediate issues such as emergencies in complete accordance with the school’s procedures and policies

Possible qualifications required are Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools, Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, or Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision of Pupils in Schools. These are desired but not essential.
