Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £34,398 - £43,595 per annum FTE (depending on experience and qualifications), plus an additional SEND qualification allowance of £1,393 to £4,787 per annum

Are you a qualified SEND Foundation Lecturer with a passion for supporting autistic young people to achieve their full potential? TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist college in the Loughborough area that is dedicated to supporting autistic young people and students with co-occurring conditions including ADHD and learning disabilities. The college promotes equality, empowerment and respect, providing autism-affirming education in small class settings where every student is encouraged to develop confidence, independence and essential life skills.

The college is looking to appoint a SEND Foundation Lecturer on either a full-time or part-time permanent basis, with an ASAP start available. The successful SEND Foundation Lecturer will deliver personalised learning programmes, prepare students for adulthood and independence, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure each learner receives the highest standard of support throughout their educational journey.

The successful SEND Foundation Lecturer will have:

  • PGCE, CertEd or QTS
  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly autism, ADHD and learning disabilities
  • Experience delivering personalised teaching within a specialist education setting
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A commitment to equality, inclusion and person-centred learning
  • A positive, flexible and compassionate approach
