The successful Tutor will deliver approximately 15 hours of tuition per week, working with pupils on a 1:1 basis. Tuition may take place in a child's home, education centre or local library.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating personalised learning plans
- Delivering Maths, English and Functional Skills sessions
- Adapting teaching to support pupils working below expected standards across Primary and Secondary age groups
Qualifications:
- QTS or a minimum of 6 months' experience delivering 1:1 tuition
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
- Strong understanding of adaptive teaching and personalised learning
- Knowledge of Pre-Key Stage assessment and measuring small‑step progress
- Experience teaching Maths, English or Functional Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
