Are you a flexible and resilient English Teacher with experience across KS3 and KS4? Do you have experience supporting students with PMLD and SLD within specialist settings? Are you looking for a rewarding full-time English Teacher role within a hospital setting?

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist hospital setting in the LE1 area, supporting with their recruitment for an English Teacher. This provision provides education and support to young people with a range of additional needs and medical requirements, creating a nurturing and adaptable environment focused on student wellbeing, engagement and personalised learning opportunities.

The setting is looking to take on a full-time English Teacher on a term-time only basis with an immediate start. The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4, however flexibility is essential as students may not always come from mainstream secondary backgrounds. The successful English Teacher will also support students with PMLD and SLD needs, adapting learning to suit individual abilities and ensuring all students can access education in a safe and supportive environment.

The successful English Teacher will have:

  • QTS with an English specialism
  • Experience teaching English across KS3 and KS4
  • Experience working within special schools or specialist settings
  • Experience supporting students with PMLD and SLD
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
