TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming SEND Provisions in Leeds, who are looking to appoint SEND Specialist Teaching Assistants. These settings have built an amazing community where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential through consistency, understanding and a supportive approach. We are looking to take on SEND Specialist Teaching Assistants on either a short-term or long-term basis with an ASAP start.
The successful Behaviour Support Worker will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, delivering a mixture of 1:1 support and small group interventions, promoting positive behaviour and helping students engage successfully with their learning.
The successful Behaviour Support Worker will have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and challenging behaviours
- Experience working within an Alternative Provision, SEND setting or similar environment
- Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with students
- A patient, resilient and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potential
