We are excited to offer a standout opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to join our Specialist Creative College as a LSA Manager/SENCO.

The Role

As LSA Manager/SENCO, you will play a key role in creating a supportive, inclusive and aspirational culture for both staff and students. Working closely with all areas of Senior management, you will help to lead and support a small campus team and a cohort of neurodivergent students aged 16–24 who are accessing Art, Design, Craft and Creative Futures (our work-related learning offer).

Under the direction of the Campus Lead, you will support the day-to-day running of the campus, with a strong focus on safeguarding, wellbeing and holistic student progress. You will help oversee, track and monitor student outcomes, including examination support, while building nurturing and professional relationships with families and external professionals. In the absence of the Campus Lead, you will take on full Campus Lead responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Campus Lead to manage daily campus operations
  • Lead and model best practice in safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Track and monitor students’ academic, personal and social development
  • Support examinations and accreditation processes
  • Build strong partnerships with families and linked professionals
  • Lead on the implementation of Pinc’s universal SEND strategies
  • Role model high-quality Learning Support and coach team members to help students achieve their potential
  • Lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary campus team

About You

  • Proven experience of leading teams within Further Education
  • A strong background in SEND (essential)
  • Extensive experience of pastoral leadership in FE and/or SEND settings (highly advantageous)
  • Confident leading and supporting others; you do not need to be a qualified teacher
  • Safeguarding experience at a managerial level is desirable (training will be provided)
  • Passionate about educating, safeguarding and supporting neurodivergent young people (16–24)
