TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Primary School based in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Primary SEN LSA on a long-term basis. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment where all pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Primary SEN LSA to support pupils within a KS2 class on a full-time, long-term contract. The successful Primary SEN LSA will work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, helping to manage behaviour, encourage engagement and support learning both on a 1:1 basis and within small groups.

The successful Primary SEN LSA will have:

  • Experience supporting children with SEN within a school setting
  • Experience working within Key Stage 2 / KS2
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
