KS1 Teaching Assistant - Flexible Supply Work
Location: Primary schools across Bradford
Role: KS1 Teaching Assistant / LSA / HLTA
Contract: Day-to-Day Supply / Short-Term / Long-Term / Permanent Opportunities
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: Β£95-Β£110 per day, dependent on experience
Are you a Teaching Assistant, LSA or HLTA looking for flexible work in primary schools across Bradford?
TeacherActive is recruiting experienced and enthusiastic support staff to join our Bradford primary supply team, supporting schools across KS1 (Years 1 and 2).
This is agency-based supply work, so there is no single school attached to the role. On day-to-day supply, you could work across a number of different primary schools throughout Bradford, giving you the opportunity to build relationships with different settings and find schools that suit you.
We have opportunities ranging from day-to-day cover to longer-term placements, with successful supply placements regularly having the potential to develop into long-term and permanent opportunities directly with schools.
The Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you may be required to:
- Support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2
- Assist the class teacher with lessons and classroom activities
- Provide general classroom and small-group support
- Support pupils with SEND or additional learning needs where required
- Help maintain positive behaviour and engagement
- Support phonics, literacy and numeracy activities
- Adapt quickly to different primary school environments
We Welcome Applications From
- Teaching Assistants (TAs)
- Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
- Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs)
- SEND Teaching Assistants
- Experienced Primary School Support Staff
Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable. A DBS on the Update Service is preferred, although support can be provided with obtaining one.
Whether you're looking for five days a week or flexible day-to-day work around other commitments, we'd love to hear from you.
