Lecturer in Countryside Management & Land-based Studies

West Midlands – Temporary (potential for permanent) with immediate start. Salary £30‑£38 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Location: Warwickshire.

We seek a Lecturer to deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons to learners aged 16‑18, assess progress, promote safe working practices and develop technical skills across countryside management and land‑based programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver high quality lessons and practical sessions.
  • Assess learner progress and provide timely feedback.
  • Promote and model safe working practices.
  • Collaborate with team to develop and update curriculum.

Qualifications

  • Level 5 or above qualification in Countryside Management, Land‑based Studies, Agriculture, Ecology, Forestry or a related subject.
  • GCSE grades A‑C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Practical industry experience in countryside management or a related land‑based sector.
  • Experience delivering accredited qualifications and supporting learners in an FE or land‑based education environment desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
