About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join the school's learning support team. The successful candidate will support children with emotional, learning, and behavioural needs within the learning support classroom, working either in small groups or on a one-to-one basis. This temporary role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills while boosting pupils' learning and confidence on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) in both group and individual settings
  • Assist in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised learning plans
  • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social development

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Proven experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN) one-to-one
  • TEAM Teach qualification is desirable but not essential
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
