We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work on a full‑time, long‑term basis in a specialist college that supports young people with a range of additional needs. The role involves working 1‑1 with neurodivergent students, providing tailored support in Maths and English while encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviours.
Responsibilities
- Work 1‑1 with neurodivergent students, delivering Maths and English support tailored to individual needs.
- Encourage student engagement, promote independence and foster positive behaviours.
- Support learners with core subjects and functional skills or GCSE levels.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting young people with SEND, particularly neurodivergent needs.
- Previous experience supporting Maths and English at functional skills or GCSE level.
- Relevant qualification in education, support or care (desirable).
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Patient, adaptable and supportive approach.
- Can‑do attitude and willingness to get involved.
