We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work on a full‑time, long‑term basis in a specialist college that supports young people with a range of additional needs. The role involves working 1‑1 with neurodivergent students, providing tailored support in Maths and English while encouraging engagement, independence and positive behaviours.

Responsibilities

  • Work 1‑1 with neurodivergent students, delivering Maths and English support tailored to individual needs.
  • Encourage student engagement, promote independence and foster positive behaviours.
  • Support learners with core subjects and functional skills or GCSE levels.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting young people with SEND, particularly neurodivergent needs.
  • Previous experience supporting Maths and English at functional skills or GCSE level.
  • Relevant qualification in education, support or care (desirable).
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Patient, adaptable and supportive approach.
  • Can‑do attitude and willingness to get involved.
