TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive 1-form entry primary school in the Isle of Dogs, E14, for an experienced year 2 QTS Teacher / KS1 Phase Lead to join their team from September.

Contract: Full-time
Responsibilities:
- Leading teaching and learning across KS1, with a particular focus on Year 2
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs and using effective behaviour management strategies
- Working closely with SLT to drive standards across the phase
- Supporting and mentoring staff within KS1
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, and external professionals
- Contributing to whole-school improvement and leadership priorities
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 2
- Previous senior leadership or phase leadership experience
- Strong understanding of SEMH and experience supporting children with SEMH needs
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach
- The ability to commute reliably to E14, Isle of Dogs
- A commitment to raising standards and supporting every child to succeed
