TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established secondary school based in Kingswinford, who are looking to appoint a Teacher of Child Development. The school promotes a positive and inclusive learning environment, with a strong focus on high standards, student wellbeing and helping learners develop the confidence to succeed.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated Teacher of Child Development from September on a temporary to permanent basis. The successful Teacher of Child Development will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Child Development lessons, supporting students with coursework, preparing learners for assessments and maintaining excellent classroom standards.

The successful Teacher of Child Development will have:

  • QTS with a Child Development, Health and Social Care, DT or relevant teaching specialism
  • Experience teaching Child Development within a UK secondary school
  • Strong knowledge of the Child Development curriculum and assessment requirements
  • Excellent classroom management
  • A positive, proactive and engaging teaching style
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with students and staff
