TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Primary School in Axminster that is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils. The school promotes strong values, high expectations and a supportive culture where both staff and pupils are encouraged to succeed.
The school is looking to appoint a committed Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis with an immediate start available. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils across the primary age range, working closely with class teachers to deliver learning activities, encourage pupil engagement and provide additional support where required. Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable, and a driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential for this Teaching Assistant role.
The successful Teaching Assistant will have:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
- Experience working within a Primary School setting
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A full driving licence is desirable but not essential
- A positive, adaptable and proactive attitude
