The school is committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed by promoting excellent attendance, positive relationships and high standards across the school community.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Attendance Officer on a permanent basis from September. The successful Attendance Officer will play a key role in monitoring attendance, identifying patterns of absence, working closely with students and families to improve attendance, maintaining accurate records and liaising with external agencies where appropriate to support positive outcomes for all learners.

The successful Attendance Officer will have:

  • Previous experience in an attendance, pastoral, school administration or safeguarding role
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and external agencies
  • Experience using school management systems such as SIMS or Arbor is desirable
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive, professional and compassionate approach to supporting young people
