TeacherActive are proud to be working with a mainstream, 2-form entry primary school in Smethwick who are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This welcoming primary setting is committed to ensuring all pupils are supported to achieve their best within a structured and inclusive learning environment.

This KS2 Teaching Assistant role is a long-term position for the full academic year, working full-time hours of 8:15am to 3:45pm. The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils across Year 5 and Year 6, assisting with classroom learning, delivering targeted interventions, and helping to raise attainment in core subjects.

Qualifications
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience working within KS2, ideally Year 5 and Year 6
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and national expectations
  • Experience delivering small group support or interventions
  • Good behaviour management and classroom support skills
  • A proactive, adaptable and supportive approach to working in schools
