Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

TeacherActive is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established 2-form entry Primary School in Smethwick, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026 on a full‑time basis until July 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Teaching Assistant who enjoys supporting children in Key Stage 1 and is committed to helping pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A Level 2 qualification (or above) in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or Experience working with children within a school or childcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, proactive, and nurturing approach
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Candidate Requirements

  • Be able to provide two professional references, including references from recent employers
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain a new Enhanced DBS through TeacherActive
  • Have the right to work in the UK
