Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Outstanding Primary School
Location: Hounslow
TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of an outstanding, high-performing primary school in Hounslow for a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). This school has very high expectations of both pupils and staff and is proud of its excellent outcomes, strong behaviour, and aspirational culture.
Working hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HLTA who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of teaching and learning.
The role will include:
- Delivering high-quality learning to individuals, small groups, and whole classes in the absence of the class teacher
- Supporting lesson planning, preparation, and assessment in line with the national curriculum
- Working closely with teachers and senior leaders to raise attainment and accelerate progress
- Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND, while maintaining high expectations for all
- Promoting excellent behaviour and a positive learning environment
- Acting as a role model and contributing to the wider life of the school
The successful candidate will have:
- HLTA status or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting
- Strong curriculum knowledge across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- A professional, proactive attitude and confidence leading learning
- A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
