TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming Primary Schools across Leeds who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. These schools are passionate about creating inclusive learning environments and are committed to supporting children with a range of additional needs through nurturing and engaging support strategies.
The schools are looking to take on a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant on a temporary supply basis, with opportunities for permanent placements for the right SEND Teaching Assistant. The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis across Primary Schools in Leeds, working with children with a variety of additional needs and supporting both academic and emotional development.
The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children with SEND / additional needs
- Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis
- A positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- Flexibility to work across different Primary School settings
- A caring and patient approach to supporting young people
