TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Outstanding boys Grammar School based in Birmingham, who are looking to appoint a History Teacher. The school is renowned for its academic excellence, supportive leadership team and commitment to providing students with a broad and engaging curriculum.
The school is looking to take on a dedicated History Teacher from September 1st on a long-term supply basis, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right History Teacher. The successful History Teacher will be teaching History across KS3, KS4 and KS5, with some responsibility for delivering English lessons where required. Full teaching responsibilities will be expected, including planning, marking, assessment and maintaining high standards of classroom practice.
The successful History Teacher will have:
- QTS with a History specialism
- Experience teaching History across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
- Experience teaching History at Key Stage 5 / KS5
- The ability to confidently deliver English lessons when required
- Excellent classroom management
- A positive attitude and commitment to raising student attainment
