TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming Nursery in Harrogate, who are looking to appoint a SEND 1-1 Nursery Assistant. The Nursery provides a caring and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and social skills through engaging and sensory-based learning opportunities.
The Nursery is looking to take on a dedicated SEND 1-1 Nursery Assistant on a part-time basis, working 15 hours per week from September. The successful SEND 1-1 Nursery Assistant will be supporting a child on a 1-1 basis with Autism, helping to provide a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment while supporting the child’s communication, emotional, and social development.
The successful SEND 1-1 Nursery Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD
- Previous experience working within a Nursery or Early Years setting
- A patient, caring, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
