Are you an experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant with a background in Construction or vocational learning? Do you have the ability to engage and support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students with SEMH needs? Are you looking for a rewarding SEMH Teaching Assistant role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position?

The setting provides a structured and supportive environment, helping students build confidence, develop practical skills and re-engage with education through tailored learning opportunities.

The school is looking to take on a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant with Construction experience on a temp to perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will support Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students both in the classroom and during vocational activities, promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement with learning.

The successful SEMH Teaching Assistant will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
  • A background in Construction or vocational learning
  • Previous experience supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students
  • Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
