Are you a Teacher of Mathematics with a passion for algebra, quadratic equations and Pythagoras' theorem? Do you deliver Maths lessons that bring mathematical concepts to life? Do you use practical and real-world examples to engage students?
TeacherActive is proud to be working with a range of secondary schools in the Northfleet area and surrounding towns. We are seeking outstanding teachers of Maths for long-term or day-to-day cover; permanent opportunities are available after a period of temporary work. You’ll be joining a well-established, supportive agency, working in fantastic, well-resourced maths departments, teaching students across Year 7 through to Year 11: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
We are looking for Maths Teachers with specialist degrees in pure mathematics or associated subject areas. You will be working across both Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), including exam preparation for GCSEs. Work is set by the department unless you are working in a long-term capacity. You may initially cover short-term absence or fulfil the role of a teacher who is absent longer term. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve expected results at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, offering continuity for students when their usual teacher is absent. Many of these roles can lead to a longer-term position and even a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The successful Teacher of Maths will have:
- QTS with a degree in maths or a related subject (ECTs are welcome to apply)
- Experience teaching English Language and Literature up to Year 11 GCSE: Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Excellent planning, classroom management and behaviour management strategies
