The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) on a long-term basis starting in September. The successful Learning Support Assistant will support pupils with PMLD, ASD, ADHD and SLD, assisting with classroom learning, managing challenging and emotional behaviours, providing personal care where required and helping every student achieve their full potential.
The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will have:
- Experience working with children and young people with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, PMLD and SLD
- A resilient and positive attitude with the ability to manage challenging and emotional behaviours
- Experience supporting pupils with personal care across a range of ages
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive 'can-do' approach and willingness to get involved in all aspects of school life
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
