Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils within the ALN unit.
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities.
  • Providing one‑to‑one support.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with children with Additional Learning Needs / ALN.
  • A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant childcare qualification.
  • Experience supporting children on a one‑to‑one basis and in small groups.
  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A can‑do attitude with the ability to adapt to the needs of the pupils.
