Role Overview
We are recruiting a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs in inclusive primary schools across Fishguard and the wider Pembrokeshire area. The role involves close collaboration with individual learners, supporting their academic, social, and emotional development while encouraging engagement, independence, and confidence throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with individual learners, providing one‑to‑one support throughout the school day.
- Support learners’ academic progress and reinforce lessons delivered by classroom teachers.
- Assist with social and emotional development, promoting confidence and independence.
- Establish positive relationships with pupils and collaborate with teachers and support staff.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs on a one‑to‑one basis.
- Knowledge of additional learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and behavioural needs.
