We are looking for a full-time HLTA to work in a specialist SEND school in Bristol. The successful HLTA will support pupils with Autism, complex medical needs and challenging behaviours, delivering targeted support, promoting engagement and using a reflective approach to meet individual learning needs.
Responsibilities
- The successful HLTA will work closely with pupils with Autism, complex medical needs and challenging behaviours, delivering targeted support, promoting engagement and using a reflective approach to meet individual learning needs while working collaboratively with the wider teaching and support team.
Qualifications
- HLTA qualification or relevant equivalent experience
- Experience working within a SEND setting
- Knowledge of Autism, severe learning difficulties and profound learning difficulties
- Experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and/or complex medical needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Energy, confidence, enthusiasm and a commitment to inclusion
